The Central Selection Board (CSB) of Constable Recruitment in Bihar has announced the final results for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2025. A total of 19,838 candidates have been selected for appointment in the Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police. Among the selected candidates, 16,852 will join the Bihar Police, while 2,986 have been chosen for the Bihar Special Armed Police.
The selection list comprises 12,509 male candidates, 7,312 female candidates, and 17 transgender candidates. Additionally, 332 trained Home Guards and 190 dependents of freedom fighters have also secured positions under this recruitment drive. The recruitment process, as stated by Board Chairman Jitendra Kumar, was conducted transparently.
Character verification and medical examinations for the selected candidates will take place between June 20 and July 19. Following these procedures, the appointment process will commence. The Board advises all selected candidates to stay updated with notifications on the official website and prepare necessary documents in advance for a smooth verification and appointment process.
Providing insight into the recruitment scale, the Chairman mentioned that 17,06,628 candidates applied for the constable recruitment examination. Of these, 13,30,121 candidates appeared for the written examination, and 99,690 were shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) based on their written test performance. The final merit list was prepared considering performances across all examination stages and reservation rules.
The selected candidates are expected to enhance the police force’s strength, workload, and efficiency in policing in Bihar.
