The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police is increasing surveillance and security measures in preparation for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21. To ensure a fair exam process, a special monitoring cell has been set up, and 135 individuals linked to past examination fraud cases are under close watch. The EOU has issued a public advisory cautioning candidates, parents, and guardians to be wary of fraudsters and misinformation during the exam period.
Special attention is being given to digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X to prevent the spread of fake question papers or answer keys. The EOU warns of cybercriminals and anti-social elements trying to deceive students with promises of leaked papers or guaranteed success for a price. Anyone receiving such offers is advised to report them to the police immediately.
Officials stress the importance of not sharing unverified exam-related content on social media to avoid causing panic among students. The EOU emphasizes the need to maintain the integrity of competitive exams and is closely monitoring sensitive locations and online platforms for any suspicious activities. Candidates are urged to rely only on information from authorized sources and to avoid falling for false promises or scams.
To report any suspicious activities, individuals can contact the EOU through a dedicated mobile/WhatsApp number, email, or the National Cyber Crime Helpline. The unit emphasizes that legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt the examination or engage in fraudulent activities.
