Founder Chairman of the Gates Foundation, Bill Gates, is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Gates will lead a delegation from the Foundation and engage in discussions with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister for Information Technology Nara Lokesh. The talks will cover various sectors such as education, health, and agriculture, aiming to enhance ongoing projects with the support of the Gates Foundation.
During his visit, Gates will be present at the State Secretariat at 10 a.m. and will tour the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) Centre to observe the application of technology in governance. Chandrababu Naidu will brief Gates on real-time governance strategies and achievements, followed by a meeting between the Chief Minister, his Cabinet colleagues, and Gates’ team to discuss further collaboration.
Chandrababu Naidu will present the State’s initiatives towards achieving the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 goals, focusing on public health, agriculture, and education sectors. Additionally, detailed insights will be shared on projects like MedTech, diagnostic services, and Sanjeevani. The State Government will also provide an overview of the Sanjeevani project conducted in partnership with the Gates Foundation.
Subsequently, the Gates team will visit a farm near Undavalli village in Amaravati to inspect agricultural practices utilizing drones and AI technology. Chandrababu Naidu recently highlighted the enhancement of public health services through the Sanjeevani project. He mentioned the creation of digital health records and personalized medicine with the backing of the Gates Foundation during an Assembly session.
