The birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a Bharat Ratna awardee, was observed with reverence and solemnity across India. In Bihar, a state-level function took place at Patliputra Park in Patna to honor the occasion. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led the tributes by garlanding Vajpayee’s statue, joined by senior leaders, ministers, legislators, and social organization representatives.
Deputy Chief Ministers, ministers, and political figures, including BJP Bihar unit President Sanjay Saraogi, paid floral tributes to Vajpayee. The ceremony featured cultural performances, including Aarti-Pujan and patriotic songs by artists from the Information and Public Relations Department. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also marked the occasion at its state party office with various leaders paying homage to the late Prime Minister.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary emphasized the enduring influence of Vajpayee’s ideals, stating that his thoughts and guidance continue to inspire. BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi recalled Vajpayee’s special connection with Bihar, highlighting the late leader’s contributions to the state. The programs held in honor of Vajpayee underscored the widespread respect for his political legacy and commitment to principles of good governance and national unity.
