Abhishek Kumar Sinha, also known as Bunty, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Bankipur Assembly by-election, submitted his nomination papers in the presence of senior party members and a large group of supporters. Before filing his nomination, Sinha sought his parents’ blessings and offered prayers at a Hanuman temple, acknowledging their crucial role in his political journey.
Expressing gratitude towards his parents on social media, Sinha highlighted their sacrifices, guidance, and unwavering support as his pillars of strength. Following his temple visit, he proceeded to the Patna Collectorate near Gandhi Maidan to formalize his nomination. The event saw the participation of prominent BJP leaders, including Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, along with a significant turnout of party workers and supporters showcasing organizational solidarity.
The Bankipur Assembly seat became vacant after the election of former MLA Nitin Nabin to the Rajya Sabha. With the nomination deadline set for July 13, the polling is scheduled for July 30, and the vote count will occur on August 3. Bankipur, historically a BJP stronghold since 1995, now entrusts Abhishek Kumar Sinha with the task of upholding the constituency’s allegiance to the party.
