After securing wins in 29 municipal corporations in Maharashtra, the BJP highlighted that the recent municipal elections demonstrated a preference for development and good governance. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal noted that the public’s trust in the BJP’s vision was evident from the election results. The party’s focus on development and transparent governance resonated well with voters, leading to a decisive mandate.
BJP MP Naresh Bansal attributed the party’s success to its leadership and grassroots efforts. He praised the development-oriented politics of the BJP, particularly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bansal emphasized the effective implementation of the party’s vision in Maharashtra, crediting the hard work of party workers and the leadership of PM Modi for the victory. He also highlighted a shift away from politics of appeasement towards progress and effective administration.
In response to the election outcomes, AIMIM MLA Mufti Ismail Qasmi expressed gratitude for the support received by his party in Maharashtra. AIMIM secured significant wins in various regions, including Aurangabad, Malegaon, Dhule, and Mumbai. Qasmi expressed optimism about the party’s future prospects, likening its growth to a sapling developing into a strong tree. He highlighted the bright future ahead for AIMIM based on the election results.
Congress MP Tariq Anwar acknowledged the democratic mandate and stated that the party respected the people’s decision. He emphasized the importance of accepting the verdict within a democratic system and indicated openness to reviewing any irregularities at a later stage. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party National spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand downplayed the significance of the BJP’s victory, noting that local body elections often revolve around personal relationships and local issues rather than broader political narratives.
