Amid claims of voter deletion in Assam’s electoral roll revision, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responded to Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi’s accusations. BJP leader Kamal Kumar Medhi criticized Gogoi for spreading false information, stating that Gogoi has a history of misleading the public for over two decades. Medhi emphasized that Gogoi’s allegations have consistently been proven baseless over time.
Medhi highlighted Gogoi’s tendency to fabricate stories and present them as truth to the public and media. He mentioned that while some may initially believe Gogoi’s narratives, they eventually realize the falsehood behind them. Medhi added that due to Gogoi’s repetitive pattern, his statements are now seen as mere entertainment rather than credible information.
The BJP leader also addressed recent voter deletion allegations, claiming they lack concrete evidence. He criticized the opposition, including the Congress, for hastily supporting Gogoi’s claims without verifying their authenticity. Medhi criticized the opposition for lacking clear direction and failing to raise substantial political issues.
Medhi expressed confidence in the BJP-led government in Assam, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, stating that indigenous communities and Indian citizens feel secure under their leadership. He accused the opposition of engaging in appeasement politics to secure Miya Muslim votes but believed that the people of Assam can distinguish the truth.
