Charging the Congress-led Karnataka government, the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized the handling of the alleged Dharmasthala mass murder case. State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra expressed concerns over the malicious propaganda against the Hindu pilgrimage center. He highlighted the mental harassment caused to devotees of the Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Temple due to these allegations.
Vijayendra pointed out that discussions on the alleged mass grave case and conspiracy to hurt Hindu sentiments had reached state, national, and international levels. He criticized the Chief Minister for forming an SIT overnight based on demands from certain groups. The BJP’s ‘Dharmasthala Chalo’ movement aimed to raise awareness about the government’s handling of the situation and its impact on devotees.
Questioning the decisions made by the Chief Minister, Vijayendra asked who would be accountable for the malicious propaganda. He criticized the lack of apology from the Chief Minister for actions that allegedly hurt Hindu sentiments. Vijayendra also raised concerns about the undisclosed forces behind the conspiracy related to the Dharmasthala case.
