The Bharatiya Janata Party has officially joined the competition for a vacant seat in the Bihar Legislative Council by nominating Arvind Sharma. Accompanied by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and other senior NDA leaders, Sharma filed his nomination, demonstrating strong support. The election for this seat is set for May 12.
Sharma’s candidacy follows the vacancy created when Mangal Pandey, the previous seat holder, was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly, necessitating a by-election. Arvind Sharma was declared as the BJP’s candidate a day before the nomination. Known for his four-decade association with the party, Sharma currently oversees the party’s Bihar headquarters and is recognized as a disciplined and goal-oriented leader.
Arvind Sharma, a trusted ally of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, is highly respected within the party for his organizational acumen. He enjoys strong relationships with key BJP figures, including President Nitin Nabin, and has a history of collaboration with influential party members. With robust organizational support, Sharma is poised as a significant contender in the upcoming election.
