The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) showcased a video depicting a woman and her family being viciously assaulted with bamboo sticks in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district. The video, shared by Amit Malviya, BJP’s Information Technology Cell Chief for West Bengal, revealed the brutal attack on the victims. Malviya emphasized the lack of safety for women in the region under Mamata Banerjee’s governance.
Malviya condemned the assault, stating that the perpetrators displayed no fear of the law, indicating a breakdown of law and order in the state. He expressed concern over the open violence against women and criticized the government for failing to ensure their safety and dignity. Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, echoed the call to remove the current government for the protection of women in the state.
In a separate incident, Malviya also shared a video and images of a BJP camp being vandalized and set on fire by alleged Trinamool Congress activists in West Burdwan district. Despite prior alerts to the police, the camp was destroyed while law enforcement reportedly remained passive. Malviya highlighted this incident as a reflection of the deteriorating law and order situation in West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership.
