BJP Karnataka President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra expressed shock and sorrow at the loss of seven Bengaluru residents in a tragic road accident near Sach Pass in Himachal Pradesh. The accident claimed the lives of eight people, including seven members of two families from Bengaluru, while they were on vacation. Vijayendra emphasized the need for the Karnataka government to work with Himachal Pradesh authorities to provide necessary support to the affected families.
Vijayendra urged the Karnataka government to assist in transporting the victims’ remains back to Bengaluru and to offer full support to the grieving families during this challenging period. He extended his condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for their strength to endure this profound loss. The tragic accident occurred when a tourist taxi veered off the road and fell into a gorge near Sach Pass in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh.
The vehicle was en route to Sach Pass, a challenging route in Himachal Pradesh, when the accident happened. Following the incident, authorities conducted a search and rescue operation in difficult terrain conditions to retrieve all eight bodies. The tourists, who were on a sightseeing trip and staying in Dalhousie, had set out for Sach Pass on May 29 but did not return as scheduled. The hotel management alerted the police, leading to a search operation to locate the missing tourists.
