Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kerala President, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, criticized the CPI-M and Congress for exploiting the Sabarimala Temple entry issue for political gains in the upcoming Assembly elections. Chandrasekhar highlighted how the two parties disrupted the temple’s traditions in 2018, leading to protests and legal actions against dissenters.
He pointed out the opportunistic stance of the CPI-M and Congress, who are now attempting to leverage the Sabarimala matter for electoral support just before the polls. Chandrasekhar emphasized that the BJP has consistently stood by the devotees’ faith at Sabarimala since 2018, advocating for its protection.
Accusing Rahul Gandhi of involvement in the National Herald scam, Chandrasekhar responded to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s allegations of a nexus between the CPI-M and BJP. Chandrasekhar dismissed the claims, urging Reddy to focus on fulfilling promises in Telangana instead of engaging in baseless accusations.
