Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, R. Ashoka, stated that the BJP has exposed alleged corruption by the Congress-led government during a recent legislative session. Ashoka mentioned ongoing discussions for statewide protests and legal actions against the government over an excise scam.

Ashoka claimed that additional evidence related to the scam is expected to further reveal the government’s wrongdoings. He criticized the government, alleging involvement in various scams, including a corruption case worth over Rs 6,000 crore in the Excise Department.

According to Ashoka, the government’s lack of development initiatives has led to financial constraints, hindering their ability to fund projects. He accused the government of diverting attention by making baseless accusations against the Central government and spending significant sums on advertisements.

The BJP leader accused the government of misusing funds under the MGNREGA scheme and emphasized the need for stricter laws to prevent such misuse. He highlighted the party’s efforts to uncover corruption and hold the government accountable for its actions.

Ashoka criticized the government for engaging in confrontations with the Governor and misleading the public through resolutions against the Centre. He expressed satisfaction in the BJP’s efforts to reveal the alleged excise scam and demand accountability from the government.
