Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Bihpuria MLA Bhupen Kumar Borah criticized Rahul Gandhi for his recent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Borah stated that the people of India have consistently rejected Gandhi’s leadership aspirations, emphasizing that Modi’s repeated election victories reflect the public’s trust in his governance.

Speaking in Guwahati, Borah highlighted Gandhi’s unsuccessful bid to become Prime Minister, attributing it to the lack of popular support. He further condemned Gandhi’s language towards PM Modi, suggesting that such rhetoric was detrimental to the Congress leader’s image and political standing.

Borah’s transition from the Congress to the BJP before the Assam Assembly elections garnered significant attention. After joining the BJP, he contested from the Bihpuria constituency and emerged victorious. The BJP-led NDA alliance’s resounding victory in the Assam polls led to the formation of a new government under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
