B.L. Santhosh, the BJP National General Secretary (Organisation), stated that Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down as the Union Education Minister to uphold broader social interests. He praised Pradhan for implementing the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and introducing numerous education reforms during his term.

Santhosh highlighted Pradhan’s accomplishments, emphasizing his successful oversight of the NEP 2020 implementation and the introduction of more than 100 educational reforms. Pradhan’s resignation, announced on Saturday, was motivated by his concerns over recent events and a desire to prevent exploitation by anti-national elements amid controversies over examination irregularities.

In his resignation letter, Pradhan reiterated his dedication to youth and education, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support. The move was framed as a safeguarding measure to protect the integrity of exams and secure the future of students amidst nationwide protests calling for accountability regarding exam leaks and irregularities.

Pradhan, reflecting on his decades-long commitment to educational causes, stressed the importance of a robust and inclusive education system for national strength. He acknowledged the aspirations and expectations of India’s youth, emphasizing the need to realize their dreams through a visionary education system. Pradhan’s decision to resign was driven by a desire to prevent disruptions to students’ academic pursuits and ensure national unity.
