BJP Karnataka State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashoka expressed confidence in replicating the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance’s success in the Maharashtra civic polls, including Mumbai, in the upcoming Bengaluru civic polls. Ashoka highlighted the alliance’s victory in prestigious urban local bodies in Maharashtra, such as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Pune, Nagpur, and other major city municipal corporations, as a reflection of people’s support for the BJP’s development-focused politics.

Ashoka praised the BJP–Shiv Sena alliance for the triumph, attributing it to the people’s endorsement of the BJP’s developmental agenda. He extended congratulations to key leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for their roles in the victory. Ashoka predicted a decline of the Congress party in Karnataka through the upcoming local body elections.

Vijayendra emphasized the significant victory of the BJP-led alliance in the Maharashtra Urban Local Body elections, particularly in Mumbai, as a testament to the public’s trust in PM Narendra Modi’s leadership at the national level and CM Devendra Fadnavis’ governance in the state. He commended the hard work of BJP workers in Maharashtra for the success and expressed confidence in a similar outcome in Karnataka’s local body polls.
