Congratulatory messages flooded in from senior BJP leaders nationwide as Suvendu Adhikari was sworn in as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, leading the state’s first BJP government. The oath-taking ceremony, attended by top BJP officials, Union Ministers, and NDA-ruled state Chief Ministers, saw Adhikari and four others taking office. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the occasion as significant for West Bengal, extending his best wishes for the state’s prosperity and development.
Expressing confidence in the new administration, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, Suvendu Adhikari would lead West Bengal towards a brighter future based on good governance and inclusive growth. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also wished Adhikari success in his tenure, highlighting the government’s commitment to development and citizen empowerment.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari viewed the BJP government’s formation in Bengal as the dawn of a new era of progress and development for the state. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined in congratulating Adhikari, expressing optimism that the vision of ‘Sonar Bangla’ would be realized under PM Modi’s leadership. Adityanath envisioned a period of cultural, spiritual, and economic resurgence for West Bengal.
The swearing-in ceremony not only marked a significant political transition in West Bengal but also saw other leaders like Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Nisith Pramanik, Ashok Kirtania, and Khudiram Tudu taking office as members of the state Council of Ministers.
