Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Nabin, along with other party leaders, honored the Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his martyrdom day. A workers’ conference and a seminar highlighting Mookerjee’s life and contributions were organized by the Karol Bagh District BJP. Nabin emphasized Mookerjee’s sacrifices and his pivotal role in the formation of the Jana Sangh.
Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra and BJP Member of Parliament Bansuri Swaraj also spoke at the seminar, acknowledging Mookerjee’s dedication to national interests. The event, led by District BJP President Virendra Babbar, witnessed the presence of several prominent party members including State BJP General Secretary Vishnu Mittal and MLA Harish Khurana. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also paid homage to Mookerjee on his martyrdom anniversary, praising his vision of ‘One Nation, One Constitution.’
Gupta highlighted Mookerjee’s contributions to national unity and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for upholding his ideals. She emphasized the importance of remembering Mookerjee’s legacy and urged everyone to work towards the nation’s welfare. Gupta commended Mookerjee’s selfless sacrifices and called for a collective effort to uphold his values for the betterment of the country.
