BJP MLA Alpesh Thakor made a significant announcement at the Thakor community’s ‘Abhyuday Mahasammelan’ in Gandhinagar, stating that he would retire from politics when he could no longer contribute to society. Thakor emphasized that his political journey is deeply tied to social responsibility, prioritizing the welfare of the community over personal ambitions.
During the event, attended by thousands, Thakor highlighted the importance of social service and unity within the Thakor community. He dismissed concerns about the timing of the convention, emphasizing the need for constant vigilance to safeguard the community’s future.
The Mahasammelan, led by Thakor as the president of the Gujarat Kshatriya Thakor Sena, focused on key issues such as education, de-addiction, employment, and social reform. Thakor also unveiled plans for a substantial educational project, ‘Saraswati Dham’, aimed at providing quality education and support to thousands of students.
Former Gujarat Congress President Jagdish Thakor and Congress MP Geniben Thakor stressed the importance of redirecting funds from lavish ceremonies towards education for a brighter future.
