BJP MLA Nand Kishor Gurjar from Ghaziabad’s Loni expressed strong backing for the ongoing crackdown on illegal constructions, including unauthorized madrasas and land encroachments. He highlighted these actions as indicative of a transforming India grounded in cultural unity and Sanatan traditions. Authorities recently demolished Madrasa Jamia Arabia Ishatul Islam in Dasna and initiated action against unauthorized madrasas in the Khoda area.
In a significant anti-encroachment move, the Ghaziabad administration conducted a major demolition operation at Madrasa Jamia Arabia Ishatul Islam in Kallugarhi village of Dasna. Following court directives and revenue department orders, officials utilized six bulldozers to dismantle structures allegedly erected illegally on government land. Gurjar emphasized the need for stringent law enforcement throughout Uttar Pradesh, urging continued action against illegal encroachments and activities violating legal provisions.
Gurjar emphasized a zero-tolerance approach towards madrasas, illegal land grabbers, or individuals promoting Jihad teachings, asserting the evolving nature of India rooted in Sanatan values. He expressed confidence in the Chief Minister’s commitment to ensuring robust enforcement across all districts of Uttar Pradesh. The District Magistrate revealed that the madrasa in Kallugarhi village was purportedly built on 14 to 15 acres of government land valued between Rs 20 crore and Rs 25 crore.
District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar clarified that the institution had been previously sealed and the recent demolition was part of eviction orders under the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Rules, 1952. Authorities have demanded compensation of nearly Rs 1.23 crore in connection with the encroachment, with plans to transfer possession of the land to the Land Management Committee post-demolition. Efforts are underway to locate Farooq, the alleged operator of the madrasa, who is currently absconding.
