BJP’s Lok Sabha member Praveen Khandelwal criticized IndiGo for mishandling his baggage on a recent flight, calling it “shameful.” Khandelwal, who is also the Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders, expressed concerns about the declining passenger experience with the airline. He mentioned that his checked-in baggage did not arrive at his destination, causing him significant inconvenience and financial loss as he had to purchase essential items.
Khandelwal emphasized that his lost luggage contained important documents, adding to his distress. He highlighted the unacceptable negligence and poor baggage management, especially for a Member of Parliament. Stressing the need for accountability and improved passenger care, he urged IndiGo’s CEO to provide an immediate explanation for the incident and clarify the corrective actions being taken.
The MP also reached out to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, expressing concerns about IndiGo’s operational standards. He called for government intervention to ensure passenger interests are protected and service quality is maintained. This incident comes amidst ongoing scrutiny of IndiGo’s operational issues, including flight disruptions and customer complaints related to cancellations, delays, refunds, and baggage problems.
