B. L. Santhosh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary (organisation), recently visited Bhopal and met with state party leaders involved in the Union Budget and VB-G Ram G- Bill awareness campaign. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by party workers and office bearers, including state in-charge Mahendra Singh. Santhosh addressed a working meeting at the BJP state office regarding the budget awareness campaign and the VB-Ramji state team, with Mahendra Singh also in attendance, as reported by the Madhya Pradesh BJP media cell.
Before the meeting, Santhosh visited a private hospital to check on the health of former Madhya Pradesh (organisational) general secretary Hitanand Sharma’s mother, who is currently undergoing treatment there. This gesture is seen as a positive message within the organization. Hitanand Sharma, who previously served as the state general secretary (organisation) for over four years, has been reassigned to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organisation, specifically as the head of the RSS’ Boudhik Prokosht’ regional office in Jabalpur.
Sharma’s transfer was part of a series of appointments made by the RSS, including the shifting of Surendra Mishra to the Purv Sainik Seva Parishad, the appointment of Mukesh Tyagi to the Grahak Panchayat, and the assignment of Brijkishore Bhargava as the regional Gau Seva chief. Sharma, who has a longstanding association with Vidya Bharti, initially held the position of co-organisational general secretary of the state BJP in 2020.
