India’s Ambassador to Poland, Neeta Bhushan, officially assumed her role by presenting her Letter of Credence to President Karol Nawrocki at the Belweder Palace in Warsaw. Following the ceremony, Ambassador Bhushan held a courtesy meeting with President Nawrocki, emphasizing the strong bond between India and Poland. Additionally, she paid respects by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.
In recent developments, Poland’s Secretary of State and Deputy Foreign Minister, Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski, mentioned ongoing discussions between India and Poland regarding the potential manufacturing of defense platforms in both countries. Bartoszewski highlighted India’s interest in specific defense platforms produced by Poland and the possibility of joint ventures for manufacturing in both nations. This collaboration aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Moreover, Bartoszewski emphasized the significance of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in enhancing trade relations between the two regions, aiming to strengthen cooperation in security and defense sectors.
