Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra announced that Nitin Nabin, the new BJP President, will visit Bengaluru for the first time since taking office. Nabin’s schedule includes meetings with party leaders, legislators, and workers. He is set to visit former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa’s residence, offer prayers at Kadumalleshwara Temple, and hold discussions with party members to assess the state’s political landscape.
Nabin will also participate in the party’s core committee meeting and attend a training camp in Bengaluru North district. Vijayendra expressed pride in Nabin’s involvement in the training program, believing it will motivate party workers. The BJP President defended the recent fuel price hike, attributing it to global circumstances and international market conditions.
He emphasized that the government had no choice but to raise fuel prices due to global factors, despite their reluctance. Vijayendra called out Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for not reducing state taxes on fuel as promised earlier. He urged the government to consider global conditions and lessen the burden on citizens by reducing fuel taxes.
Vijayendra also criticized Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge, urging him to advise the Chief Minister on reducing fuel taxes instead of targeting the BJP. He suggested that Kharge should focus on guiding the state government to set an example by reducing additional taxes on petrol and diesel.
