Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin honored Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his 73rd martyrdom day at the party headquarters in New Delhi. Nabin, along with other party leaders, commemorated the death anniversary of Dr. Mookerjee, a key figure in the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
Remembering Dr. Mookerjee, Nabin described him as a nationalist, thinker, and the country’s first Industry Minister. He emphasized that the recent abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reflects Dr. Mookerjee’s vision and sacrifice.
Dr. Mookerjee’s lifelong dedication to national unity and integrity was highlighted by Nabin, who praised his commitment to a strong and united India. BJP leaders nationwide also paid their respects to Dr. Mookerjee, acknowledging his significant contributions to the nation.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak recognized Dr. Mookerjee’s role in shaping post-Independence India. Pathak emphasized the leader’s efforts in integrating Jammu and Kashmir into India, making it an integral part of the country’s pride.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with other BJP leaders, honored Dr. Mookerjee by planting saplings on his death anniversary. Gupta lauded Dr. Mookerjee’s pivotal role in establishing the BJP, describing him as a significant figure in India’s history and urging citizens to contribute to the nation’s progress.
