BJP Rajasthan state president Madan Rathore criticized the Congress for obstructing the passage of crucial bills in the national interest following the Lok Sabha debate. Rathore accused the Congress of betraying the trust of millions of women by preventing the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill, which aimed at ensuring 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies. He emphasized that the bill was a significant step towards women’s political empowerment.
Rathore alleged that the Congress prioritized politics over women’s empowerment by failing to support the Constitutional Amendment Bill. He criticized the party for consistently creating obstacles and engaging in opposition without constructive cooperation. Rathore claimed that the Congress has a history of disrupting Parliament and hindering developmental initiatives, including opposing key decisions like the abrogation of Article 370 and legislation against Triple Talaq.
The BJP leader highlighted the Congress party’s negative approach and reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to development, good governance, and public welfare. Rathore assured that the BJP would continue to advocate for public-interest issues in Parliament to ensure the nation’s development is not impeded.
