Reacting to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s comments about legislators being “sold,” BJP Rajasthan President Madan Rathore criticized Gehlot for not addressing the issue during his own tenure. Rathore highlighted Gehlot’s focus on pleasing political leaders and promoting his son’s career over public welfare and development. He pointed out the lack of basic facilities in Gehlot’s home district despite his long stint in office.
Rathore accused Gehlot of prioritizing loyalty to the Gandhi family over Rajasthan’s progress, leading to unmet development expectations. He criticized Gehlot’s continued efforts to prove his relevance to the Gandhi family through what he called irresponsible statements. Rathore emphasized the public’s growing preference for development-focused governance over what he termed as opportunistic politics by Congress leaders.
The BJP Rajasthan President affirmed that Rajasthan residents now value development, good governance, and accountability in politics. He asserted that the public rejects such political strategies and continues to support the BJP’s development-oriented governance model for the state’s future.
