Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly trivializing Parliament and causing disruptions during sessions. Hussain claimed that Rahul Gandhi, after Congress secured 99 Lok Sabha seats, appeared to expect Parliament to operate according to his preferences. He emphasized that Parliament functions under the Speaker’s guidance, not the ruling party or the Opposition.
Hussain accused Rahul Gandhi of consistently causing disturbances in the House, including sending women MPs to interrupt Prime Minister Narendra Modi and challenging the Speaker. He highlighted that Rahul Gandhi’s actions, such as creating chaos on various issues and disregarding the Chair’s decisions, have become a pattern for the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
The BJP Spokesperson further asserted that Rahul Gandhi lacks substantial issues to address in Parliament, criticizing him for turning parliamentary sessions into battlegrounds and focusing on defaming the Prime Minister. Hussain suggested that this approach has led to poor electoral performances by the Congress party in recent elections.
Regarding upcoming state elections, Hussain predicted electoral setbacks for the Congress in West Bengal and Assam, claiming they would secure zero seats. He also discussed the global energy crisis, attributing it to conflicts involving Iran, the US, and Israel, which have impacted oil and gas prices worldwide. Despite these challenges, Hussain commended India for effectively managing oil and gas prices amid the global turmoil.
Reflecting on past crises, Hussain praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and reassured the public that there is no cause for concern with the Prime Minister at the helm.
