A BJP state core committee meeting took place in Bengaluru at the BJP state office ‘Jagannath Bhavan’ to deliberate on candidates and election strategies for bypolls in two Assembly seats. Chaired by the party’s state President B.Y. Vijayendra, the meeting was attended by key leaders including Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Vijayendra mentioned that the discussions focused on selecting candidates for the upcoming Bagalkote and Davanagere South Assembly constituencies. The meeting also addressed the need for unity among party members to ensure success in the forthcoming elections.
The core committee finalized names of potential candidates for the constituencies, which will be forwarded to the party high command in New Delhi for the final decision. Additionally, efforts were made to reconcile differences among leaders and emphasize the importance of working together for the party’s victory.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, along with other senior leaders, held a separate meeting with aspirants and key party members from the Davanagere South Assembly constituency. The leaders were encouraged to put aside past grievances and collaborate towards securing wins for the party in the elections.
Responding to concerns about dissatisfied leaders, Vijayendra assured that efforts had been made to address their grievances privately. He emphasized the necessity for all members to unite and cooperate in the party’s best interests, aiming to resolve any internal issues promptly.
