Karnataka BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for the ongoing leadership tussle. Vijayendra claimed that the state administration was at a standstill due to a power struggle between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. He highlighted the lack of governance in Vidhana Soudha and accused the Congress of prioritizing power over public welfare.
The BJP leader mocked the Congress leadership crisis, referring to it as a “global chair-wrestling problem” being addressed in New Delhi. Vijayendra alleged that the Congress government had shifted its focus to Delhi, leaving governance in Karnataka neglected. The political speculation over a potential leadership change in Karnataka intensified after meetings between top Congress leaders and the party high command.
The Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka also criticized the Congress government for prioritizing power struggles over governance. The JD(S) accused Congress leaders of fighting for positions while neglecting the welfare of the people. They highlighted the plight of farmers losing land and criticized the government for compromising the interests of Kannadigas for political gains.
