Agitated BJP workers gathered outside the Congress headquarters in Delhi, demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for the disruption caused by Youth Congress workers at the AI Summit. Led by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, the protesters criticized Rahul Gandhi’s actions and displayed placards with messages like “Anti-national Rahul Gandhi apologise” and “Traitors.”
Sachdeva condemned the incident, stating that turning an international platform like the India AI Impact Summit into a political battleground was unacceptable. He emphasized that such actions not only marred India’s technological progress showcase but also went against the national interest. The protest aimed to highlight the need for respect and integrity on global platforms.
Accusing Rahul Gandhi of aligning with anti-India forces, Sachdeva stressed the importance of maintaining India’s reputation on the international stage. He called for a public apology from Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party for their behavior at the summit. The protest march, led by Sachdeva, aimed to denounce what was described as hooliganism by Youth Congress workers during the summit.
Delhi BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor highlighted the significance of the summit for India’s economic growth and job creation. He criticized Rahul Gandhi for politicizing the event and emphasized the negative impact such actions could have on the country’s image and progress. The protest underscored the discontent among BJP workers over the disruption caused by the Youth Congress at the summit.
