Workers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested outside the Congress headquarters in Delhi, condemning the actions of Youth Congress members at the India AI Impact Summit. The protest was in response to an announcement by Virendra Sachdeva, who planned a march to denounce what he called hooliganism by Youth Congress workers.
Delhi BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor addressed the media at the protest, stating that the BJP workers had gathered voluntarily in large numbers. He highlighted the significance of the summit for the country, emphasizing the potential economic benefits and job creation. Kapoor criticized Rahul Gandhi for organizing a protest during the summit, calling it a display of frustration.
Virendra Sachdeva claimed that the individuals detained for protesting at the Summit were not genuine Congress workers but hired goons. He criticized their actions during a time when India’s youth were showcasing innovations and praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in Karnataka demanded an apology from the AICC president for the incident.
In Uttar Pradesh, Minister Anil Rajbhar condemned the behavior of the Congress party at the summit, calling it highly irresponsible. He questioned the actions of the Congress during a prestigious event attended by global representatives and heads of state. The protest signifies a heightened political exchange between the BJP and the Congress following the AI summit.
