Members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and BJP attempted to surround the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee office in Ranchi. Police intervened, preventing them from reaching the main gate, leading to a confrontation and standoff.
The BJP protestors voiced discontent against the state government and Congress leadership. Despite police setting up barricades, the demonstrators tried to breach them, resulting in a brief scuffle with security personnel.
As tensions escalated, BJP workers chanted slogans against Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders, met with responses from Congress supporters inside the office. Additional police were deployed to maintain order, with both sides engaging in slogan-shouting.
BJYM members first gathered at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium before marching to the JPSC headquarters for a protest. Allegations of irregularities in the 14th JPSC Preliminary Examination results fueled their demands for a fair investigation and justice for affected candidates.
Outside the Congress office, BJP leaders accused the state government and Congress of diverting attention from alleged recruitment scams. In response, Congress dismissed the protest as a political move, stating that an inquiry was already in progress. The situation, though tense, was kept under control with reinforced security measures in place.
