Bollywood actor Bobby Deol recently shared a touching moment with his late father Dharmendra following the success of his role as Abrar in the movie ‘Animal’. He fondly recalled Dharmendra’s reaction to his portrayal as a villain.
Speaking on Shekhar Suman’s talk show ‘Shekhar Tonite’, Bobby discussed how filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga approached him for the film and how his performance led to the creation of ‘Lord Bobby’ on the internet.
During the conversation, Bobby mentioned Dharmendra’s surprise at seeing him play a negative character in ‘Animal’. He recounted his father’s reaction, where Dharmendra humorously asked, “You’re a villain?” and later praised him, saying, “You have become Lord Bobby now.”
Bobby also revealed that Sandeep Reddy Vanga cast him in ‘Animal’ based on a single photograph that captivated the director. The film, despite Bobby’s limited screen time and lack of dialogues, garnered attention for his intense presence and viral dance on the song ‘Jamaal Kudu’.
The internet buzzed with the term ‘Lord Bobby’ to celebrate the actor’s remarkable comeback. ‘Animal’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, featured stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Bobby Deol.
Bobby is gearing up for upcoming projects like ‘Alpha’ and ‘Bandar’, marking his return as a lead hero after 17 years.
