In a tragic incident, a man and his wife were discovered dead in their flat in Maheshtala, West Bengal. The bodies of Tanmoy Dey (52) and Ruma Rakshit (47) were found by the police after family members raised concerns and alerted the authorities. The couple, suspected to have committed suicide, were found unconscious in their rented flat, surrounded by empty boxes of sleeping pills.
Local sources revealed that the family members grew worried when they couldn’t reach the couple and rushed to their flat, only to find it locked from the inside. Upon breaking in, the police found the couple unresponsive on the bed. The husband and wife were rushed to Vidyasagar Hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. The police are investigating the incident, focusing on the couple’s financial struggles as a possible motive for their extreme step.
