Brijesh Kumar and Jhared Hack took the lead on day two of the DP World PGTI’s Indorama Ventures Open Golf Championship in Ahmedabad. Kumar shot three-under 69, while Hack scored two-under 70, putting them at a total of seven-under 137. Dhruv Sheoran secured third place with a score of six-under 138 after shooting a second consecutive 69.
In fourth place at five-under 139 were Saptak Talwar from India, along with French players Clement Sordet and Pierre Pineau, and Austria’s Christoph Bleier. Meanwhile, round one leader Rashid Khan dropped to tied eighth place at four-under 140 after carding a 74 in the second round.
The cut line was set at four-over 148, with sixty-two professionals making it through. Brijesh Kumar, a past winner on the DP World PGTI NexGen, showcased precision in his tee shots and game around the greens. Jhared Hack, the winner of the season’s first event, demonstrated strong putting skills and familiarity with the hot weather conditions in Ahmedabad.
