BRS leader R. S. Praveen Kumar has requested Harvard Kennedy School to withdraw the certificate recently presented to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for an executive education program. Praveen Kumar highlighted that Reddy faces allegations in 89 criminal cases, the most among Indian Chief Ministers, including 72 serious IPC charges.
Praveen Kumar, an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School, expressed disappointment over the decision to award Reddy a certificate in the ‘Leadership in the 21st Century: Chaos, Conflict, and Courage’ program. He criticized Reddy for his involvement in a 2015 cash-for-vote scandal and accused him of engaging in divisive politics and using fake cases against rivals.
The BRS leader emphasized that issuing certificates to politicians with questionable backgrounds undermines the values of ethical leadership and public service that Harvard claims to promote. He urged the school to reassess its admission procedures to prevent such controversies in the future.
Revanth Reddy completed the program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School from January 25 to 30 and received the certificate on January 30.
