The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the release of director Sri Senthil’s much-anticipated thriller, ‘Kaalidas 2’, starring actor Bharath, with a U/A certificate. The film is set to hit theaters on April 3, as confirmed by the makers through a social media post unveiling the cleared poster. Fans were recently treated to the first look of actor Kishore as Pandya in the movie.
Revealing Kishore’s character on social media, the film’s creators described him as a fierce and intense presence, promising an intriguing and unpredictable performance. ‘Kaalidas 2’ is a sequel to the successful ‘Kaalidas’ franchise and is produced by Five Star K.Senthil and Dr. N. Yogeshwaran. Written and directed by Sri Senthil, the film stars Ajay Karthi alongside Bharath and features a talented cast including Bhavani Sre, Sangita, Abarnathi, Ananth Nag, TM Karthik, and ‘Singam’ Jayavel.
The sequel has garnered significant attention from audiences and cinephiles, not only for continuing the popular ‘Kaalidas’ series but also for marking Sangita’s return to the silver screen after a prolonged absence. The teaser released earlier showcases Bharath as a cop, responding to a distress call from a terrified woman, setting the stage for a gripping narrative of crime and justice. The film, with the tagline “Monster Hunt,” promises to delve deeper into the realms of mystery and danger.
‘Kaalidas 2’ boasts a talented technical team with music by Sam CS, cinematography by Suresh Bala, and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan. The screenplay is penned by Aravindan Anand, with art direction by ‘Kaliyuga’ A. Raja. Bobby handles the choreography while Om Prakash is in charge of stunts. Tapas Nayak serves as the audiographer, and the film’s costumes are designed by Dorothy Jai (DJ), with lyrics by Mohanraj.
