The Central Board of Film Certification has approved the pan-Indian Malayalam film ‘Kattalan’, directed by Paul George and starring Pepe, for release with an ‘A’ certificate. Cube Entertainments, the film’s production house, announced the news on Instagram. The movie is set for a worldwide release on May 28, 2026.
The lead actor, Pepe, also known as Antony Varghese, plays a character named Antony Varghese in the film. Other cast members include Sunil as Maari, Dushara Vijayan as Lucy, Kabir Duhan Singh as Eddy, and Parth Tiwarii as Roby. Raj Tirandasu, known for his role in ‘Pushpa’, will portray Maari 95 in the film.
The film, featuring music by Ravi Basrur, has garnered significant attention from fans and cinephiles. Producer Shareef Muhammed of Cubes Entertainments, renowned for ‘Marco’, is behind this high-octane action thriller. ‘Kattalan’ promises a gripping narrative of power, betrayal, and dangerous missions, crafted by writers Paul George, Joby Varghese, and Jero Jacob.
The movie also stars rapper Baby Jean, veteran actors Jagadeesh and Siddique, and promises intense performances across languages. With choreography by Sharief, costumes by Dhanya Balakrishnan, and cinematography by Renadive, ‘Kattalan’ is poised to captivate audiences with its raw storytelling and cinematic vision.
