The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the upcoming romantic film ‘Hi’, directed by Vishnu Edavan and starring Nayanthara and Kavin, for release with a U/A certificate. The movie, scheduled to hit theaters on August 14, 2026, is a joint production of Zee Studios South, The Rowdy Pictures, and Seven Screen Studios.
The storyline of ‘Hi’ unfolds in three cities – Chennai, Coimbatore, and Pollachi, promising a family-friendly narrative without any antagonists. Director Vishnu Edavan, known for his work with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, describes the film as a heartfelt family entertainer centered around true love.
Notably, this project marks the first collaboration between Nayanthara and Kavin, generating significant anticipation among fans. The film features a talented technical crew, with music by Jen Martin, cinematography by Rajesh Shukla, editing by Philomin Raj, and art direction by Shekhar B. Dance sequences will be choreographed by Brinda, while stunts will be overseen by Dinesh Kasi.
