The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken significant steps in investigating the alleged irregularities and paper leak case in the NEET-UG 2026 examination. Five accused individuals have been arrested, with three from Jaipur, one from Gurugram, and another from Nashik. The CBI initiated this probe following a complaint from the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education regarding the suspected paper leak.

A case has been registered by the CBI under various legal provisions related to criminal conspiracy, cheating, and breach of trust concerning the NEET-UG 2026 examination paper. Searches have been carried out at multiple locations across the country based on leads obtained during the investigation. The agency has seized incriminating materials and electronic devices, including mobile phones, during these searches.

The CBI is working in collaboration with the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) and is conducting a thorough investigation into the alleged paper leak. The agency is utilizing technical and forensic analysis to pursue all leads related to the case. Further arrests and searches are anticipated as the investigation progresses, with the agency remaining committed to a comprehensive and impartial inquiry.
