The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against Amit Singh, an officer from the Indian Ordnance Factory Services (Batch 1998). Singh, who previously held the position of Chief General Manager at the Ordnance Equipment Factory in Hazratpur, Firozabad, is now stationed at Troop Comforts Ltd. Training Academy in Kanpur. The case, filed on February 26, 2026, alleges that Singh amassed assets worth Rs 55,58,471, which are 73.28% disproportionate to his known income sources between April 1, 2022, and December 31, 2025.
The CBI, following the FIR registration, obtained search warrants and conducted searches on February 27, 2026, at five locations associated with Singh in Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Kanpur. Incriminating documents related to properties, bank accounts, credit cards, and vehicles were seized during the searches. Notably, documents revealed the ownership of three residential properties in Agra, Lucknow, and Bareilly, with two flats acquired in 2023 and 2025.
During the search operations, officials recovered jewelry valued at around Rs 49 lakh and cash totaling Rs 5 lakh from Singh’s residences in Agra and Lucknow. Additionally, documents detailing various expenditures and investments were confiscated. The CBI is currently scrutinizing the seized records to ascertain the full extent of the alleged disproportionate assets and to identify potential accomplices involved in the case.
