The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a notice to Telangana Jagruthi leader K. Kavitha regarding the Delhi excise policy case hearing in the Delhi High Court. The notice was delivered by a team of CBI officials, informing Kavitha about the scheduled petition presentation on March 16. Kavitha has the option to present her arguments on the specified date or any future date if the case is adjourned.
The Delhi High Court had recently sent notices to Kavitha, along with former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and 20 others who were acquitted by the Rouse Avenue Court. The CBI had contested the discharge of the accused in the high court. Kavitha acknowledged the notice served on her and stated her intention to cooperate fully with the legal process.
Kavitha expressed confidence in the legal system and assured cooperation with the investigative procedures. She emphasized the importance of following the prescribed legal protocols when an appeal is filed in a higher court. Kavitha had previously faced legal issues related to the case and had spent time in jail before being granted bail.
