The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has transported four accused individuals involved in the NEET-UG 2026 examination paper leak case from Jaipur to Delhi for additional interrogation. The accused, including brothers Dinesh Binwal and Mangilal Binwal, Mangilal’s son Vikas, and Yash Yadav from Haryana, will be directly questioned at the CBI headquarters. This move is part of the agency’s efforts to unravel a suspected larger and more intricate examination malpractice network.
Investigators are striving to unravel the entire sequence of events leading to the alleged paper leak, which has raised significant concerns about the credibility of competitive exams. The CBI recently conducted searches at the Binwal family’s residence in Jaipur, questioning family members and seizing relevant documents and electronic devices. Notably, investigators have observed a substantial surge in the family’s wealth, prompting scrutiny into their financial activities and assets.
Allegations of sudden wealth accumulation, luxury possessions, and significant property investments by the Binwal family have surfaced, indicating potential irregularities. The CBI is also exploring potential political ties that might have facilitated the alleged malpractice network. The agency is actively pursuing absconding accused Rishi, believed to play a crucial role in the operation.
The case has stirred public outrage and reignited discussions on examination security measures. The CBI is now focused on mapping the entire network associated with the leaked paper, which was reportedly shared through WhatsApp groups across multiple states. The accused were produced before a court in Jaipur before being transferred to Delhi for further investigation.
