In a significant operation in Madhya Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) has dismantled a sophisticated drug lab producing high-purity MD/Methamphetamine. The crackdown led to the seizure of 52 kg of synthetic drugs, along with 260 kg of precursor chemicals and advanced equipment from two individuals.
The operation, conducted from February 13 to 15, began with intelligence received by CBN’s Neemuch branch. Intercepting a bus in Mandsaur, officers found 8.172 kg of crystal methamphetamine hidden under seats. The accused passengers admitted to the drug’s origin from a concealed manufacturing unit.
Following a tip-off, a special team from CBN located the manufacturing site in Thavalay village, Mhow tehsil, Indore district. Despite initial challenges due to chemical fumes, a team with protective gear dismantled the lab, seizing modern machinery and plant installations.
The total seizure included 51.992 kg of methamphetamine, with three arrests made in connection to the operation. Further investigations are underway to uncover the drug’s supply chain and distribution network.
