The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for Class 12 students to apply for verification and re-evaluation of their answer sheets. Originally set for June 6, the deadline has been pushed to 11:59 p.m. on June 7. This decision was made to assist students facing technical issues and to accommodate the increased applications after result announcements.
The CBSE announced, “Today, 07 June 2026, is the last day to submit applications for Verification of Issues Observed and Re-evaluation of Answers on the post-result services portal for Class XII Examination 2026.” Students are urged to complete and submit their applications before this final deadline. The portal will accept applications until the midnight deadline.
The verification and re-evaluation process is an essential step in CBSE’s post-result services, ensuring students can confirm the accuracy of their assessed answer sheets. Students first request scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets before proceeding to seek mark verification or question re-evaluation. This process aims to maintain transparency and build trust in the evaluation system.
CBSE has implemented the On-Screen Marking system on a larger scale this year to minimize errors and enhance efficiency. However, due to issues like blurred copies and missed markings, there has been a notable increase in re-evaluation requests. Over seventy thousand applications have been submitted, highlighting the significant demand and the necessity of the deadline extension.
Students are required to pay a nominal fee for verification and a per-question charge for re-evaluation services. Once the re-evaluation process is finalized, the marks awarded are considered final and binding, with no further appeals permitted.
