The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the online process for Class 12 students to verify and re-evaluate their board exam results. Students can now submit applications through the designated portal as announced by the board on its official social media channels. To assist students through the process, CBSE has released a detailed video tutorial explaining the steps for applying for mark verification and re-evaluation.
Students are encouraged to carefully review the guidelines before submitting their applications to ensure accuracy. CBSE advises applicants to check eligibility conditions, deadlines, and fee details beforehand. Comprehensive information about the process is available on CBSE’s official website and verified social media platforms.
The recent development follows the introduction of CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan mentioned a potential influx of around 80,000 requests from students seeking access to their evaluated answer sheets. The re-evaluation and verification facility for Class 12 students became operational from June 1, with only those who have obtained photocopies of their answer books eligible to apply for further review.
Before requesting re-evaluation, students must refer to the marking scheme and question paper uploaded on the board’s website. Applicants can then submit requests for specific questions they believe need reassessment, along with proper justification. CBSE has set separate fees for verification and re-evaluation services, with Rs 500 per answer book for mark verification and Rs 100 per question for re-evaluation.
The online window for verification and re-evaluation is expected to be open for at least two days after the final scanned copy of an evaluated answer script is provided to applicants. Students are advised to complete the process within the specified timeframe and stay updated on official announcements regarding the review schedule.
