The CBSE announced that its Post-Result Activities portal will start operating from June 1. Class 12 students will then be able to apply for verification and re-evaluation of their answer books on the portal. Verification will involve retotalling of marks for a fee of Rs 100, while rechecking will cost Rs 25 per question.
The CBSE emphasized the need for transparency and efficiency in the verification and re-evaluation process. Students with queries can contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or email re************@*********ha.in for assistance. The option for verification and re-evaluation is open to students who have received scanned copies of their evaluated answer books.
Around four lakh students have accessed approximately 11 lakh scanned answer sheets through the portal so far. Subject experts will review questions upon receiving re-evaluation applications and update marks if discrepancies are identified. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) faced technical issues previously, leading to deadline extensions for revaluation applications and fee payments.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently chaired a review meeting at the CBSE headquarters in New Delhi to address evaluation and post-result concerns of Class 12 exams. The Minister instructed officials to resolve student issues promptly and transparently. The government aims to ensure a fair examination system and address student and parent concerns effectively.
Minister Pradhan also assessed the progress of post-result services, focusing on enhancing student support systems and the CBSE digital platform. Nearly 18 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 exams this year, involving a significant number of answer sheets and scanned pages.
