The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) corrected an error where a student received the wrong answer sheet for a review. The student, Vedant Shrivastava, pointed out the mistake and expressed intentions for re-evaluation. This incident has raised concerns about the reliability of CBSE’s digital evaluation system.
Vedant had applied for a copy of his Physics answer sheet after receiving unexpectedly low marks. Upon examination, it was found that the answer sheet sent by CBSE did not match his handwriting and belonged to another student. The issue gained attention on social media, sparking a debate on transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.
CBSE acknowledged the error and assured Vedant that his marks would be revised after re-evaluation. The introduction of the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system has faced criticism for reported flaws, including technical glitches and complaints of lower marks. The controversy has led to questions about the reliability of CBSE’s evaluation procedures and document-sharing practices.
