Celta Vigo secured a crucial 1-0 victory against Atletico Madrid, boosting their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season. The winning goal was scored by Borja Iglesias in the 62nd minute, while Atletico missed several scoring opportunities.
In another La Liga match, Real Sociedad staged an impressive comeback from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw with Real Betis. Betis initially took a 2-0 lead with goals from Antony and Abde Ezzalzouli, but Real Sociedad’s Orri Oskarsson and Mikel Oyarzabal equalized the score.
Sevilla climbed away from the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol. After Tyrhys Dolan gave Espanyol the lead, Sevilla’s Andres Castrin and Akor Adams scored to secure the win.
Alaves remains in the bottom three despite a 1-1 draw with Elche, where Alvaro Rodriguez and Toni Martinez scored. Levante also fought back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Osasuna 3-2, with Victor Garcia and Karl Etta Eyong contributing to the victory.
